Bank Indonesia works in synergy with ministries and institutions to help exchange new banknotes
Jakarta (ANTARA) – The Ministry of Industry is collaborating with Bank Indonesia (BI) to help people exchange rupee banknotes for donations at the end of Ramadan and the approach of Eid Al – Fitr.
“The Ministry of Industry, together with Bank Indonesia, is opening up opportunities for the public, especially employees of the Ministry of Industry, who want to exchange banknotes for the purpose of giving infaq and make donations in the moments leading up to Eid al-Fitr,” ministry expert staff Andi Rizaldi said here on Tuesday.
According to Rizaldi, the effort aligns with government policy to expand gathering opportunities for communities by relaxing out-migration rules.

In addition to making it easier for Industry Ministry employees to obtain tickets, the activity should also encourage improved economic activity, Rizaldi observed.
“With the pandemic situation under control, community activities are also gradually returning to normal situations. It is hoped that national economic and industrial recovery will be achieved more quickly,” he said.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, the Ministry of Industry has played an active role in the prevention and treatment of COVID-19 cases in the industrial sector, for example by issuing regulations concerning business permits and industrial mobility activities for companies.
The measures taken by the ministry to combat the spread of COVID-19 also included the strict implementation of health protocols in work environments, vaccination programs for employees and industrial sectors, and the provision of centralized self-isolation facilities for employees and the community.
Meanwhile, Bank Indonesia Public Relations and Institutions Officer Puji Widodo said the government has distributed an Eid Allocation or THR for the Civil State Apparatus (ASN) for 2022.
“Bank Indonesia is working in synergy with ministries and institutions to help with the exchange of new banknotes,” Widodo added.
